The Spirit AeroSystems Composite Center is a 33,000 square foot onsite education and training facility at the GTP, available to tenants and community groups. The Composite Center houses the customized workforce development training curriculum for Spirit AeroSystems and Lenoir Community College’s aerospace manufacturing readiness (AMR) curriculum courses. Features of the Composite Center include wireless internet connectivity, video conferencing capability, a computer lab, conference rooms, classrooms, AV equipment, a dining room and a 2,500 SF composite training lab.

North Carolina's Community College System, is ranked as one of the top community college systems in the country. Locally, Lenoir Community College is the host for specialized workforce development training for companies such as Spirit AeroSystems, and offers degree programs in Aerospace Manufacturing, Aviation Management and Global Logistics.

The Global TransPark is also in close proximity to some of the state's premier colleges and universities including: East Carolina University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University and Duke University.

The full motion Redbird flight simulator at the Lenoir Community College Aviation Center helps train student pilots on a variety of airframes and in changing weather conditions.
